Swedish Pocket Purse Class

Create your own "Pocket Purse" to take home.

Pockets used to be worn OUTSIDE your clothes in Sweden and were very decorative. You will view an exhibit of antique "Waist Bags" (vaskor) at Gammelgården Museum and then create your own to take home. Kits will include all materials for an antique style or your own design. You will cut fabric, learn to appliqué and some simple embroidery stitches. Bring a fabric scissors and some ideas! Beverages and cookies provided.
