“Flicka Day” is for girls going into 4th grade and older along with a special adult.
(That special person may be a mom, grandparent, aunt, father or adult friend to share in this day)
- Paint your own hand-carved Dala Horse as a keepsake.
- Enjoy an Extra-Fancy luncheon
- Participate in our Immigrant Style Show featuring YOU. Come dressed as an ancestor or immigrant arriving in America in the 1850’s.
- Learn a Swedish Folk Dance and Song.
- The day will conclude with a special art exhibit featuring everyone’s hand painted Dala Horse.
- Cookies, coffee and punch will be served throughout
Past Participants are encouraged to attend with the opportunity to build on those memories created in 2009 and 2010. Bring your Dala horses from those years to share with others. Fee: $25.00 per participant (Must be paid at time of registration.) The Program is limited and will fill quickly. Gammelgården can no longer hold an unpaid space.
