Join other young people from around Minnesota to experience what it would have been like to be an immigrant in the 1800’s. Elementary age school children will work together in “families” with many activities that simulate the challenges, joys and lifestyles of immigrants building new lives in Amerika. Participants are asked to dress as an immigrant and even bring a special item from their “homeland” to facilitate imagination and understanding of this phenomenal part of America’s history.
