GammelGarden Volunteer Recognition

The Välkommen Hus classroom was filled with 90+ volunteers and members gathered to celebrate the 2009 season.
They learned over 4000 paid visitors came, 2 reunions, 1 graduation, 3 birthdays and 1 wedding were hosted, 1600 people enjoyed meals, 750 people came for the Lutfisk Dinner and 250 for the Lucia breakfast and worship.
We welcomed 22 new member households and 24 new Life Memberships. 2009 was a very good year.

MJ Sahl is recognized for her wonderful contributions with publicity and creative products for the "Traditions in the Trunk" exhibit and style show.

The Scandia Butik Ladies..all smiles as they share the annual profits of $36,000.00 from Butik sales.

They also contributed collectively 600+ volunteer hours. All have been honored in the past as Volunteer of the Year.

Congratulations to Eleanor Edmond and Natalie Norman, recipients of the "Extra Mile" award for helping create and present the "Treasures in the Trunk" exhibit, style show and 2009 commemorative Dala horse.

Retiring president Moose Malmquist admires the wood carved likeness of him done by Earl Erickson.
Moose was also designated as Volunteer of the Year for 2009.
