80+ volunteers and members came to celebrate a successful year for Gammelgarden. Volunteers donated more than 2500 hours during the 2008 season.

Our youngest volunteers, who work with the “comin’ to Amerika” program for children, receive their Dala horses that celebrate Minnesota’s 150th birthday.

Volunteer of the year, Kathy Bakke coordinator of Children’s Programs reminded all that she and “Moose” were at Augustana College, Sioux Falls at the same time. Thank You Kathy for your energy and enthusiasm for Gammelgarden.

Sue Nickelson, coordinator or Meals and More is awarded the Peggy Sandstrom Extra Mile award by Lynne Blomstrand Moratzka, Director. This year she prepared meals for over 500 people on tour groups and our regular celebrations…Midsommar, Spelmansstamma, Lutfisk ( over 625!) and Lucia. Thank You Sue!
